Lakshya Sen to face World champ Alex Lanier in Round 1

Lakshya Sen will look to bounce back from the disappointment of his early exit at the World Championships but a tough opener awaits him when he spearheads the Indian challenge at the China Masters beginning here on Tuesday.

Sen will face France's newly-crowned world champion Alex Lanier in his opening match. In men's doubles, India's star pairing of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will open their campaign against China's Hu Ke Yuan and Lin Xiang Yi.

In the women's singles, Tanvi Sharma will face Denmark's Amalie Schulz, while Unnati Hooda will battle China's Han Yue.
