India's top paddler Soumyajit Ghosh's made his Olympic debut in style yesterday beating Brazil's Gustavo Tsuboi 11-9 14-12 7-11 12-10 5-11 12-0 (4-2) in a closely contested men's singles first round match.
However, India's top female table tennis player, Ankita Das bowed out of the Games after losing 1-4 to Spain's Sara Ramirez in a first round encounter on Saturday.
