Thakur Ramnarayan, Jankidevi emerge U-12 handball champs of MSSA inter-school tournament

Thakur Ramnarayan Public School (Dahisar) and Jankidevi Public School (Andheri) emerged champions in the U-12 girls and boys categories respectively of the Dream Sports Mumbai School Sports Association (MSSA) inter-school handball tournament at Azad Maidan on Thursday.

Thakur Ramnarayan carved out a narrow 4-3 win over Jankidevi in the girls final, with Triumala Kathurogai scoring a hat-trick for the Dahisar outfit. Khanak Vaghashiya also added a goal to Thakur Ramnarayan's tally.

For Jankidevi, who were 0-4 down at one stage, the fightback came through goals from Aaairah Gohabori, Kyra Shirodkar and Fatima Khan.

In the U-12 boys final, the Jankidevi lads romping to a 3-0 win over Vibgyor HS (Malad).

Mohammad Shaikh scored twice while Krishiv Parmar added a goal for the winners.
