Pathirage’s javelins broken in flight to Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka's Asian Games medal prospect Rumesh Tharanga Pathirage returned home after winning the title at World Athletics Ultimate Championships in Hungary on Tuesday to find his prized javelins in pieces.

Pathirage, 23, posted a picture of his damaged javelins on social media. Pathirage was returning on Turkish Airlines, and had lodged a complaint.
