Anahat Singh and Abhay Singh began their respective campaigns at the Squash World Championship with victories in the opening round on Saturday.
Anahat, 17, overcame a loss in the first game to eke out a 10-12, 11-9, 6-11, 11-6, 11-6 victory over her American opponent Marina Stefanoni.
Meanwhile, her compatriot Abhay sent Switzerland's Nicolas Mueller packing with a 11-7, 2-11, 11-7, 11-6 triumph.
Anahat will face Egypt's Fayrouz Aboelkheir in the next round while Abhay will also take on an Egyptian opponent, Youssef Ibrahim, in his second round match.
