Young cricketers rise at Ajmera I-Land academy

The Sports Gurukul-organised talent hunt, held on November 7 at the Ajmera I-Land Academy Ground in Wadala, saw over 250 participants - batsmen as well as bowlers - from across the length and breadth of the city.u00a0

The enthusiastic lot sweated it out in the nets under the watchful eye of Sandhu, who has over 20 years of coaching experience with various state junior and senior teams.

Fast bowler Ahmad Khan of Khalsa College emerged as the best player in the U-22 category, while batsman Prathmesh Sonawane of IES Manik Vidya Mandir (Bandra) was the youngest player picked in the U-12 category.
