Meet a person with a skill you can use

Vinanti Kothari, 30 Woodworker
AVAILABLE FOR: Custom-made wooden furniture and decor
CHARGES: From Rs 700 to Rs 3,000
EMAIL AT: letsmakehome@hotmail.com

Kothari got her Bachelor's degree in architectural design from Nottingham Trent University, UK, and worked as an interior designer for a few years. She now sells her woodwork, which is inspired by her love for colours and distressed wood, under the brand name Not So Shabby. Some of her signature pieces include custom-made name signs, lap desks and panels of wood mosaic. She says her products were created to make a statement as functional art. She offers gallery wall consultations where she designs a layout containing picture frames along with wall décor, and also makes other customised products to suit her client's needs. As everything is handmade, production and dispatch take about three weeks.

RECOMMENDED BY: Rukmini Ray, decor blogger, says, "I have known Vinanti since 2017 when she was doing the farmhouse-style frames. Back then, it was a lesser-known style of decor. Her work is impeccable. You ask for a rustic wooden hanger with cogs and she will give you a farmhouse-style hanger that's straight out of your dreams. Her distressed wood furniture is a work of art."
