Vampires may not be living in mansions at Mystic Falls or castles in Transylvania, but they might just exist in Hollywood. Your next favourite actor could just be the next blood-sucking creature of the shadows, and this time it's Nicholas Cage. An antique photograph collector says he has discovered a Civil War-era image of the Oscar-winning actor and asserts that Cage is a vampire who has been alive for hundreds of years. According to Jack Mord, Cage "ages" until 75-80 years old, then "dies," and finally reinvents himself. "150 years from now, he might be a politician, the leader of a cult, or a talk show host," says Mord.
The photo is up on eBay with a hefty price tag of one million dollars, and Mord claims its authenticity by allowing the buyer to have a photo expert of their choice examine the original photograph. Cage has unfortunately remained silent on the entire ordeal.
Can one really be a pop star without gay allegations?
It all started in December 2014, at a The 1975 concert of all places (iykyk). Taylor Swift was on a girls' night out with her bestie at the time, supermodel Karlie Kloss. The two of them were dancing to The 1975's dreamy music when a fan captured the two allegedly kissing. The video's blurry, you can't really see much, but the fire was already lit. Fans were convinced that Swift is secretly in love with Kloss, and has been queer the whole time. Around 2017, the two stopped making public appearances, sparking rumours of a tiff. In 2018, Kloss got married and Swift was evidently not in attendance. Fans were convinced that Swift was mad at Kloss for breaking up with her. Do we believe that Taylor Swift is a closeted lesbian and all her other public relationships are fake? No. Is it damn fun to indulge in this theory and stay up till 3 am looking for Gaylor proof? Absolutely. The two have also apparently buried the hatchet as they reunited at Swift's wedding last month.
Pandas are among the world's most beloved animals. Yet, despite their popularity, a persistent myth believed by some is that these cute bears are a failed experiment. They cite the pandas' carnivorous ancestry, even though bamboo remains their primary diet. Others highlight their clumsy movements, low reproductive rates, and dependence on conservation efforts as evidence that they are "not fit" for nature. However, modern science has ample evidence to disprove these myths and points out that their slow breeding is linked to biological factors rather than evolutionary failure. Furthermore, pandas have evolved specialised wrists, powerful jaws, and a unique digestive system that allows them to survive on bamboo, a food source with little competition. As bizarre as this theory sounds, it serves as a reminder that there will always be people who believe in things that simply make no sense.
This urban legend about Paul McCartney (and his double) began circulating in 1966 and gained popularity abroad by 1969 following American college boards. The urban legend alleges that the English musician Paul McCartney from The Beatles died in 1966 and was quietly replaced by an MI5 lookalike. According to the rumour, McCartney died in a car crash, and to avoid public outrage, grief, and anger, the remaining Beatles, alongside the British MI5, replaced him. People believed this rumour as they "decoded" the secret through subtle details in their albums, including elements in the songs and the art on their album covers. The theory became viral and an international phenomenon. Rumours did decline after McCartney had an interview with Life in November 1969. But some fans weirdly still believe to this day that he died in 1969 and was replaced.
