There are some gifted musicians who can pick up the most complicated music by ear alone, and there are others who need a little help. That's where vocal coach Abhishek Vijay comes in. He goes by @musicriyaaz on Instagram, where he breaks down tough classical music techniques and even Bollywood songs in a visual manner, with the help of vocal "graphs". At first glance, his explanations can seem a bit daunting - often looking more like an EKG or the stock market graph - but breaking down the notations (especially the hidden notes) in this graphic manner really helps visual learners pick up the most minute details and, in turn, perfect the vocals, runs and riffs from ragas to popular film songs.
