If you don’t say anything, and he isn’t interested, you will have to accept this situation because nothing is being done to address it.

I am in a strange position with someone I care about because he doesn't think of me as anything other than someone to spend his free time with. We watch lots of movies together, attend events we both like, and meet often, but I don't think he has any feelings for me which is sad because I think we would make a great couple. I would like to mention this to him but don't want to ruin the friendship we have. Should I hint at it or just say nothing and hope that he starts to see me in a different light? We have a lot in common, and I know we would be able to make this work, but the lack of interest is a huge problem. What should I do?
Nothing should stop you from telling this person how you feel if you are clear about accepting what he has to say without judgement. You are aware that he may have no interest, and you can declare how much you value this friendship. It doesn't have to end, nor does it have to be awkward in any way, if you can articulate why you feel this way and how you are prepared for nothing to change. If you don't say anything, and he isn't interested, you will have to accept this situation because nothing is being done to address it.

My boyfriend and I recently had a massive fight and stopped speaking to each other for over a month. I have accepted his apologies, but he still struggles to accept mine and there is a strained quality to our relationship since we got back together. How can I fix this if he isn't willing to move on?
It's possible that he wants to move on too but just isn't ready to process what has occurred. Tell him why this bothers you and ask if he needs time. Be patient and accept that you have both experienced this differently and are both entitled to your own feelings.
