A 15-year-old school dropout has been arrested for sodomising a 9-year-old boy. The accused had lured the Std III student by promising to treat him to pani puri.
According to the police, on Saturday, the 15-year-old was playing with the boy and his 11-year-old sister in Kurla’s Nehru Nagar area. He initially tried to get the girl to go with him, saying he would treat her to pani puri, but she refused. He then approached her younger brother.

After treating the boy to pani puri, he took the 9-year-old to his house where he forced himself on the boy. An official from Nehru Nagar police station said, “After the boy went back home, he complained of severe pain and bleeding to his mother. She realised what had happened and brought him to the police station to register the offence on Saturday.”

Cops say that the accused may have done the same thing to other children as well and that they are investigating the same. The accused has been booked under Section 377 (indulging in sexual activities against the order of nature) of IPC and relevant sections under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. He has been sent to the remand home in Dongri.
