Lalit Parimoo, who was seen as Paramjit in the Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor starrer Mubarakan, is delighted that the film has worked wonders at the box office.


"It's important for an actor that his film fares well at the box office and is watched by all sections of the society," says Parimoo. He feels that the biggest strength of the film is that it does not resort to slapstick comedy to tickle the audience's funny bone. The actor adds, "I feel proud to be a part of a wholesome entertainer like Mubarakan."


The senior actor believes all credit goes to director Anees Bazmee as he had the vision to pull off the multi-starrer. "Bazmee has the knack for extracting fine performances from all his actors. Shooting with the entire team in London was a beautiful experience."

Besides playing Dr. Jaikal in Shaktimaan, Parimoo was also a part of Vishal Bhardwaj's critically acclaimed Haider (2014). He also has 75 TV shows to his credit The actor recently wrapped up the shoot of Panchlait, which is based on a short story written by Phanishwar Nath Renu.

Parimoo will be seen playing the leader of a ras-leela group in the Prem Modi-directed venture. He also has director Sudhanshu Sharma's Love All in his kitty. The film sees him playing an industrialist who harbours political ambitions.

Excited about portraying the layered character, he says, "It's a challenge to play a role with grey shades. As an artiste, I love to experiment with different kinds of characters."
