Actor Akshay Kumar has released the first look of 'Naam Shabana', which stars Taapsee Pannu in the lead role.


The 49-year-old actor took to Twitter to share the maiden poster of the film, which shows the "Pink" actress going all-out for action sequences.


"Shabana reminds me of a quote,'The only time a woman is helpless is when her nail polish is drying!' Sharing the #NaamShabanaPoster, more soon," wrote the actor.

The poster also shows actor Manoj Bajpayee and south star Prithviraj Sukumaran alongside Akshay, Danny Denzongpa and Anupam Kher.

The film is a spin-off based on Taapsee's character in 2015 action movie 'Baby', which starred Akshay in the lead.

Taapsee tweeted the poster and wrote, "You know where she belongs, but you don't know her journey! #NaamShabanaPoster."

Kher also wrote on Twitter, "Here is d first poster of #NaamShabana. Brilliance begins. Jai Ho.:) @BajpayeeManoj @PlanC_Studios @RelianceEnt @akshaykumar @tapseepannu".

While Bajpayee tweeted, "She is aware and alert. She is set to fight for the country.#naamshabana @PlanC_Studios @RelianceEnt @akshaykumar @tapseepannu @AnupamPkher."

The film's trailer will be out on February 10 and it is slated for release on March 31.
