Allaindair well-poised to win Maharaja Scindia Trophy

The grade 2, Maharaja Jiwajirao Scindia Trophy has attracted nine runners. The feature event is reserved for horses that are four-year-old or older and will be run over the trip of 1,800 meters.

Alaindair, trained by Altamash Ahmed, whose only loss after a hat-trick of wins was to super horse Desert God, is expected to resume his winning ways in the hands of YS Srinath. In fact, going by the relative merits of horses in other races, Alaindair attracts as the day's best betting proposition.

Another Altamash Ahmed ward, the sparingly raced three-year-old Et Voila who has won both her career starts so far, should be able to humble her rivals in the Roedl & Partner Trophy, and shapes as a good bet.
