'Qasam Se Qasam Se' shoots on an ancient Akbar Gate over the Dal Lake in Kashmir
A source says, “Azim had to do intricate dance steps atop the Akbar Gate over the Dal Lake in Srinagar in Kashmir. Since it is centuries-old, it was nothing but a broken structure of old bricks.

The choreographer asked Azim to climb on it and do the opening lines of the title track of Qasam Se Qasam Se. Azim was sceptical initially and when he began climbing a few bricks crumbled, adding to his trepidation.”
u00a0Care had to be taken while doing the dance steps on the top. “They were intricate but Azim succeeded nevertheless, at the same time maintaining a balance too,” said the source.
Azim says, “I remember when I climbed it, it was about 30 feet high and stood on its peak, that was as sharp as a sword’s edge, it was all shaky. It took all my concentration and immense balance to complete the entire step.
Also I had to do it in one take because if the structure would collapse there would be no way we could capture its raw beauty.”
u00a0Azim laughs, “The moment I completed the shot, I jumped into the water and swam my way to the speed boat. Some bricks did fall off the structure and by now the gate must have crumbled like a cookie.”
