The fourth seeded Indian needed only 23 minutes to ease past local player Bobby Milroy 21-12, 21-11 in their first ever encounter Tuesday.

Pawar will next take on unseeded Kuei Chun Shih of Chinese Taipei on Wednesday for a place in the quarter-finals.
Earlier, South Korean pair Ji Su Lee and Soo Hwan Ryu made short work of D Guru Prasad and Venkatesh Prasad, beating them 21-17, 21-16 in only 25 minutes.
