The city has changed quite a bit over the last year and as Team Guide Bangalore, we took it upon ourselves to choose the winner in each entertainment zone u2014 Pubbing, Eating, Shopping, Hanging Out and Entertainment Destination.u00a0 So here's the best of what Bangalore had to offer over the last 365 days. The winning pub: Club Nero
This hot spot, which is already creating waves with the city's hip and chic opened doors on January 2, 2009. It's been in the news since it opened and now almost 350 days later we still remember the fashion show by Prasad Bidapa that kicked it off. The club has become an icon and we're sure you'll love the du00e9cor.

The winning eatery: Caperberry
March 23, 2009 was the day when molecular gastronomy came to Bangalore. Caperberry, the fine-dining restaurant on Dickenson Road changed the way food lovers dined. Avant-garde European cuisine developed by chef Abhijit Saha teamed with sophisticated design, ambience, tasteful music and menus reflecting creativity met innovation and passion complimented by an impeccable service that made it a destination restaurant and tapas lounge to be spotted at.u00a0

The winning store: Splash
Edgy fashion, chic designs, bold hues and very in-vogue with today's trends is what best describes Splash that was launched in the city this year in February 2009. This Dubai-based brand from the Landmark Group houses the latest lines in clothing and accessories like footwear, bags and jewellery in world fashion. What we really loved on one visit was their spectacular long chains that seemed to be the most 'in' fashion accessory at that time.

Winning Hanging Out area: Forum Value Mall
This new mall that sprung up in Whitefield, positioned itself as a value mall combined with the best of brands in an outlet format. Besides a wide choice in cuisines, the 50,000 sq ft Mega Mart also stocks brands at discount prices all year round. The mall also features a multiplex from the Fame group, with 5 Screens including a Gold Class screen, which has become a popular destination for most film premieres.

Winning entertainment destination: Kyra
Theatre lovers had to rush to 'city outskirts' to get their dose of music and art, before this new place suddenly appeared on the city's map. On May 7, it was time to make merry and experience the best local, national and international performances right at the heart of the city u2014 Indiranagar. Kyra brought theatre, puppetry, comedy, circus, burlesque, indigenous film, world music, chamber music, hip hop, jazz, contemporary dance, experiential theatre and world renowned performers to a venue that served food, drink and was accessible from anywhere in the city.
