On Saturday, the Bandra Bar Association resolved that no advocate from their group will represent the 58 year-old doctor who slapped and blackened the face of advocate Mahesh Shukla in Bandra labour court on Friday. At 11.35 am on Friday, Shukla was attending a session at the labour court in Bandra when the accused Dr Vivek Umesh Koppikar barged in, slapped Shukla and blackened his face and threatened him in front of the magistrate. Lawyers Manoj Singh, BD Birajdar and Rajeev Ved, who were present at the scene, handed him over to the Kherwadi police station.
