Verma also pointed out that the Board can use the Special General Meeting tomorrow to chalk out the next course of action.

The apex court yesterday strictly warned BCCI not to defy orders and reacted strongly to the Lodha Panel’s report which also sought the ouster of the top brass from Indian cricket’s governing body.
“If BCCI officials have some sense in them, then they must accept the Supreme Court’s order and withdraw decisions which they took after July 18. They should also make it clear to the court that they will implement certain things which are according to the Lodha Committee report,” Verma told mid-day yesterday.
The petitioner in the 2013 Indian Premier League spot-fixing scandal revealed that a top BCCI official, currently working in the Board and a big name in Test cricket supported the one-state one-vote clause put before by the Lodha panel. “BCCI’s top official had made it clear before the Justice Lodha panel during their discussion that the one-state one-vote suggestion will be very good and will be for the betterment of the game. This official also added before the panel that nothing is going right in the Indian cricket board,” Verma explained.
“Another Indian, who is a big name in the cricketing fraternity and who retired from Test cricket four-five years ago also spoke highly in favour of the one-state one-vote recommendation and mentioned that it is the need of the hour,” he concluded.
