Bollywood celebrities have an entourage that customises everything for them. What about a few apps that match their personalities? We list a few of them...

Bollywood stars and the mobile apps that would suit them

Bollywood, Bollywood celebrities, Ajay Devgn, Prabhudheva, Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar, Sonam Kapoor, mobile apps, smartphone apps, Apple, Android

Apps breathe a new life into our smartphones, which makes them indispensable in this century. So, keeping the Android vs Apple argument at bay and assume that all Bollywood folk are just as addicted to their smartphones, hitlist assigns mobile apps that could, should and are most probably already are helping some celebrities on a boring day.

Ajay Devgn

Ajay Devgn
App: Heroes of Order and Chaos is a popular game among smartphone users. App users have both criticised and praised the game, but there’s one thing you cannot deny — the comments sections of various game review websites abound with the pains and joys of being addicted to this game.
Why: Players can fight enemies in a real time battle by gathering an army of good guys from over the world with the help of a good internet plan. As Ajay Devgn has swung valiantly in and out of action-packed sequences at the hands of puppeteer Rohit Shetty, we think that the actor would enjoy doing the same as a character in this game. There’s no other app more perfect for the actor.

Prabhudheva

Prabhudheva
App: Smart Compass helps ardent travellers find their way on their travels. Christopher Columbus’s big mistake gave birth to America, but since no one back then made a YouTube special of his fit of anger on realising the same, we can safely assume that he stamped relentlessly on his compass. Now, smartphone users have an app they can trust.
Why: After South choreographer-director Prabhudheva, who is better known for his choreography, decided to direct films for Bollywood we were convinced that he is in urgent need of a compass to find his way back to the South. His films are just more widely accepted there, we feel.

Ranveer Singh

Ranveer Singh
App: Shave Me! makes shaving facial hair an enjoyable past time. Since societal pressure doesn’t allow men to make heart-shaped patches on their cheeks yet, this app lends hours of entertainment to those who believe that shaving is the new doodling. When there is no hair left to shave, all you have to do is shake the phone and the hair grows back.
Why: Who better than Ranveer Singh to play brand ambassador for this app? From Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram Leela to Finding Fanny, his face has been a canvas for the best in the styling business. Now, getting into character for his upcoming film, he’s gone bald.

Alia Bhatt

Alia Bhatt
App: GK India 2015 is an app only for Indian users. However, the plight of the sour nerds who claim to have subscribed to this application is that the general knowledge questions are a tad too simple. Nevertheless, brushing up one’s general knowledge on a wide variety of topics like sports, politics, economics, geography and history isn’t a bad way to bring in the New Year.
Why: Considering that a few users have found the questions simple, we thought it to be a perfect way for Alia Bhatt to prepare herself for the rapid fire round in the next season of Karan Johar’s talk show. On an earlier occasion, when the young actress was asked to name the President of India, she emphatically answered: Prithviraj Chavan. Later this blonde moment was dubbed as an ‘Alia Bhatt Moment’ by Karan Johar.

Karan Johar

Karan Johar
App: Try to Dance is an app that helps rubberise the most inflexible dancers. So don’t be surprised if you see a friend set fire to the dance floor with some innovative dance steps. The downside being that they can only dance to a set of few Western numbers that the app offers. On the hindsight, it isn’t a bad way to start grooving.
Why: While Karan Johar has won himself a judging seat on many talent shows, we aren’t convinced that he knows enough about dancing. He has often been called on stage and asked to do a little jig with the participants. Certainly, he rises to the occasion but he is more in tune with the chuckles than the music.

Sonam Kapoor

Sonam Kapoor
App: Cloth is an app that allows the fashion conscious divas to organise their outfits according to the time of the day. By clicking a picture  you can share your wardrobe with the global village, inspiring and being up-to-date with the latest fashion. The other plus point is that the app gives you a weather update to guide you in making your next fashion statement.
Why: After judging her appearances at events, Sonam Kapoor’s penchant for elaborate dressing makes it a no-brainer when it comes to linking her to this app. She has often found a place on the various diva listings and escaped the scrutiny of the lurking fashion pundits. Here is the Sonam Secret on good dressing: “I have eclectic taste, and love vintage style mixed with glamour and old world charm.”
