This year, so far, has been quite eventful for the Hindi film industry — from break-ups and patch-ups to marriages and new relationships to the arrival of babies. And the latest kid on the B-Town block, literally, is Boman Irani's grandson, born to elder son Danesh and his wife Rhea.

The elated actor declared the happy news on social media yesterday. He tweeted, "My daughter in law is a mom today. My son is now a dad. My wife is a grandma & I'M A GRANDADDD!!! (sic)."

He was quick to add: "In the confusion forgot to mention that it's a Boy!!! Mother and child doing great. Grandparents doing a flash dance in the hospital! (sic)."

As soon as he had announced it to the world, congratulatory messages started pouring in for B'wood's newest dadu. Among the first to wish was Genelia Deshmukh, who became a mother for the second time last month, posted, "Congratulations @bomanirani… so so happy for all of you."

Anupam Kher posted "Congratulations to the whole family for getting one extra dimension in life. Jai Ho.:)"

Arshad Warsi @bomanirani you are a sexy boy, how can you become a granddad ??????.... Congratulation Boman...
