It is learnt that Anil loves browsing through bookshops in London during his visits there. On one such visit, he picked up a booku00a0 aboutu00a0 celebrities on Twitter and why they joined it. The actor was curious to know why so many Indian and international celebs had accounts on Twitter and so he bought the book.

Jab they met
After coming back to the hotel he leafed through a few pages and found it quite interesting. The following day, he had a lunch appointment with Aamir, who was also in London.

The subject of putting your views online came up, and Aamir mentioned that Amitabh Bachchan had asked him to join and he was contemplating doing it. It was then Anil decided to gift him the book.

Says a source close to the actor, "Anil is not interested in tweeting right now, so the book was of no use to him and he gifted it to Aamir."

Not just that, Anil even gave Aamir that much-needed nudge by telling him that even US President Barack Obama was active on Twitter. When the 3 Idiots actor returned to Mumbai after that trip, he began tweeting.
Anil confirms, "It's a personal gift and I wouldn't like to discuss the details." Aamir's spokesperson confirms, "Yes. Aamir was given a book."
