Srinagar: Asiya Andrabi, chief of women's radical group 'Dukhtaran-e-Milat' (Daughters of the Faith) was on Friday detained by the police in this Jammu and Kashmir summer capital.

Police said Asiya Andrabi was picked up by a posse of policemen from her house in Soura locality.

"She has been lodged in the women's police station at Rambagh", a senior police officer told IANS.

Asiya had called for a protest march on Friday against the killings of three youths, whose bullet-ridden bodies were found on Monday from an apple orchard in Pattan area of Kashmir's Baramulla district.

Police have lodged many FIRs in the past against Asiya on charges of displaying a Pakistani flag and stoking anti-national feelings.
