A faction of students decide to attend classes, others say they won't give up
The student protest at the Delhi Technological University has reached a crossroads. While the leaders of the demonstrations are contemplating going back to the classes, another group wants to stay out till the demands are met.

The general body meeting of the students held on Tuesday did not throw up a solution, but Ravi Shekhar, who has been spearheading the protest, made his wishes known. "We are thinking of asking all the students to resume the classes from Wednesday as we have lost so many days during the protest which is affecting everyone's academics," said the fourth year student.
Students who agreed with Ravi's views, clarified that attending classes does not mean that the protest is over. "This does not mean that we have given up. Government process takes time and till then we could not boycott classes because it will affect everyone's academics so we will ask the students to join the classes," Ravi Shekhar explained.
The other students, who are not in the favour of resumption of classes and want the protest to continue, have shown their rage by leaving comments at the Save DCE community on Facebook. One student wrote, "Either you go to the classes, or you protest by not going. If you choose to go then the protest is over. So I guess we should have another look at it. We have come this far so I guess there's no point in stepping back."
Another student told MiD DAY on condition of anonymity, "I feel that our leaders are lacking the right strategy to carry forward the protest. We won't be able to repeat this in the future if we stop now. Why haven't they taken up any political support till date?"
