Earlier, an ignored section of the heritage structure, the year-old-refurbished cultural hub will give a boost to their Audio / Visual Room and Education Centre, erstwhile a cottage. Art 21 films, initially broadcasted on the channel, PBS, will inaugurate the cosy centre that is ideal for such viewings along with discussions.
Ann Hamilton’s works will be screened via video documentary
Focussing on Contemporary art, the video-documentary series will encompass 100 artists of the 21st century such as Shahzia Sikander, Ann Hamilton and Louise Bourgeois. The space modelled on the art vibe of the place, has retained the cottage’s brick façade and exudes a Victorian sensibility.
The documentary features are divided into six seasons thereby spanning the next six months. The eponymous initiative is renowned worldwide for its Peabody Award winning biennial television series, Art in the Twenty-First Century. Thus, don’t miss these screenings that are equally handy for people, ranging from educators, art aficionados to art lovers and students. Enthusiasts can follow the Art 21 Blog as well.
