Mumbai Customs have a big task at hand going into their first ever final of the Nadkarni Cup today at the Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers (RCF) ground, Chembur

Customs take on Dodsal FC, the surprise finalists of the 2012 Durand Cup and a team dubbed by many as the Manchester City of Mumbai due to their Emirati owners, who spanked seven goals past a hapless Central Railways in their semi-final on Monday.

However, the Customs team don't appear to be too fazed by their admirable opponents.

“We were pretty confident of getting into the final from Day One,” said Customs striker Mathias Coutinho (24), who had a goal and two assists to his name in the semi-final, adding that today is a big day for his team. “It's the first time we've reached the Nadkarni Cup final so we'll be up for it. We know that Dodsal is a good side but we've gelled really well as a team over the last year. We will give our best in the final,” said Coutinho.

Customs coach Conrad Pereira promises an attacking mindset from his team on Thursday.

“Our approach will be very open-hearted and we will give them a good fight. Dodsal have a lot of players from the Indian national team and we know we're the underdogs, but we've played really well in this tournament and will take the fight to them,” he said.

Just another game...
Meanwhile, Dodsal coach Bimal Ghosh said that the today's final is just another match for his side.
“For us, it's a regular game. They've got a good team with a lot of youngsters, but we will approach it like we do all other games,” he said.
