Given that the gigantic helium-filled air balloonu00a0-- Aerostatu00a0-- has taken up almost close to 40 per cent of the entire Rs 150 crore budget allocated for the opening and closing ceremonies of the CWG 2010, the massive structure has become the most talked about component of today's opening ceremony at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here.

The Aerostat costing Rs 40 crore with dimensions of 80m by 40 m and 12m in height, will showcase high resolution and multi dimensional animation and graphics synchronised with events on the ground across 360 degrees, so that each and every spectator in the ground has a perfect view of the spectacle.

CWG 2010 wins numbers game
CWG 2010 has broken all previous records with respect to number of participants. As many as 6700 athletes are set to participate at the CWG 2010, of which 5800 have already arrived in the Games Village and are all set to parade in tonight's opening ceremony at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here.
