On January 29, Deepika Padukone along with her mother and sister Anisha Padukone attended an event, wherein, father, Prakash Padukone was felicitated with Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution in the field of Badminton. The proud daughter got emotional and had tears in her eyes. This "empowering" moment of Deepika got captured in the lens and she feels that there is nothing to be embarrassed about it.


She posted a picture and captioned it, "Don't ever say you are sorry for 'being caught in the moment'. Because, at that moment, that is exactly where you wanted to be-Cody W."


The 'Padmaavat' actress' father thanked his family on receiving the award. "Thanks to family, parents, sibling, wife and daughters without whom I would not have become the administrator, the coach, or the person that people have known me to be. I share this award with all the other players who played with me and also with my family," he shared.

Deepika is currently riding high on the success of her Sanjay Leela Bhansali film 'Padmaavat'. The film has earned approximately 250 crores in three weeks of its release and is touted as one of the most successful films of her career.

She will next be seen with Irrfan Khan in Vishal Bhardwaj's 'Sapna Didi'.
