Thirteen-year-old Kesarsing said that the knock is the ideal confidence-booster ahead of his stint with the Mumbai under-14 team for which he keeps wickets too. The Al-Barkaat skipper rated yesterday’s performance as one of his best so far.
“Today’s knock is very special to me for two reasons. Firstly, this is my maiden double ton in Giles Shield. Secondly, my innings has ensured a semi-final berth for my team (In the first innings, Parle Tilak were bowled out for 91).
I just played my natural game without thinking about a 100 or 200. I played without any pressure,” said the Class VIII student, who wants to grow up to be like his idol — India skipper MS Dhoni.
