Just like one's language lessons start with the basic alphabets, dance has its own basic components that come together to form different dance techniques.
A new series of workshops, seminars and talks at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA), titled Pratipadarshini, will focus on individual components of dance to help promote a deeper understanding of the various forms of the performing art.

The programme will start off with a special masterclass on different Yoga techniques, offered by Yoga instructor Samanta Duggal, as she takes participants through the benefits of Sivananda, Iyengar and Vinyasa Yoga styles. The workshop aims to address various issues of the overworked human body as well as Yoga’s relevance to dancers and non-dancers alike. The programme is open to beginners and professional dancers.
