Fake goods worth Rs 41 lakh seized

The Enforcers of Intellectual Property Rights (EIPR) along with the Cubbon Park police conducted raids at Hum India FAB private limited and seized fake items worth Rs 41 lakh being sold under the guise of two well-known international brands.

The Enforcers of Intellectual Property Rights (EIPR) along with the Cubbon Park police conducted raids at Hum India FAB private limited and seized fake items worth Rs 41 lakh being sold under the guise of two well-known international brands.

In total, 121 fake branded items including belts, footwear, ladies purses, T-shirts, shirts, scarves, hand bags, jackets and several other items were seized.

Cubbon Park Police PSI Roopa Hadagali along with a team conducted the raids along with EIPR officials Satheesh, Sailesh, Jaffer and Suresh and arrested shop-in-charge Devandra. Another accused Uday Gokani is absconding. The accused have been charged under section 51, 63 and 68(A) of copy right act 1957.
