Film 'Dhoosar' served its purpose: Palekar
Film maker Amol Palekar says Marathi film 'Dhoosar' (blurred), about people suffering from Alzheimers disease, succeeded in creating an awareness in the community about the disease
"As a filmmaker, we are happy that the film is received very well by the audience, especially, in Maharasthra and also generated an awareness about the dreadful nature of the disease," Paleker said.
'Dhoosar' is about the changing hues of a mother-daughter relationship as dementia affects the elder one. Kerala has highest number of dementia cases followed by Rajashthan, Himachal Pradesh Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu."
