Sara Ali Khan is in talks with Ashutosh Gowariker for her next film

Ever since Sara Ali Khan announced her foray into films, she has become one of the most sought-after newbie in Bollywood. However, it has happened very rarely that a newbie's debut vehicle is months away from release and filmmakers are crowding outside their house to sign their next. Sara Ali Khan, happens to be one of those many star kids who will be debuting in the coming months, along with Sridevi's daughter Jahnvi Kapoor, Chunkey Panday's daughter Ananya Pandey, but so far she has been the only one who has been approached for other projects as well. According to a story reported by DNA, Sara Ali Khan was spotted outside Ashutosh Gowariker's office a few days ago. This has sparked off rumours that the Lagaan filmmaker wants to sign her for his next film.

Ashutosh has indeed evinced an interest in casting Sara opposite Arjun Kapoor in his next film, which is a historical based on the three battles fought between the 16th and 18th centuries. A source says, “Before the young actress paid Ashu a visit, the latter had dropped by on his good friend Abhishek Kapoor. He saw some rushes of the love story, Kedarnath, which features Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara. The Jodhaa Akbar director came away mighty impressed with her screen presence and performance. So, he wants to cast her in his own movie." Ashutosh has already roped in Sanjay Dutt for a principal part for the same film.
Incidentally, Sara is bound by a contract with the makers of Kedarnath specifying that this would be her debut vehicle, which is due for release in December, 2018 as of now.
