Jaipur: The body of a 50-year-old police head constable was found hanging from a ceiling fan at his residence in police lines on Thursday in Rajasthan's Churu district, an official stated. The deceased, the Head Constable, Puran Chand Meena, apparently committed suicide at his government quarter, however, the exact cause of the death will be known after post-mortem, Naresh Kumar Gera, the Kotwali police station incharge said. Puran Chand Meena was assigned duty at a police post near a government hospital in Churu on June 21, Gera added. He said the family members have been informed and post-mortem will be conducted after they arrive.

In another incident, the body of an unidentified man was found hanging in the toilet of the Jaipur Express on Friday. According to Shailesh Dhiwar, senior inspector of Mumbai Central Government Railway Police (GRP), on Friday morning when the train arrived at Mumbai Central station, a cleaner knocked on the door of the toilet but it was locked from inside. Thinking someone was inside, he left and returned later to clean it. When it was still locked from inside, the cleaner asked the person to come out soon. When no one replied, he managed to push open the door a little and saw a man hanging.
