Organiser Insia Lacewalla tells us, “A couple of months ago I had done a bake sale and have since been wanting to do a theme-specific pop-up exhibition. That’s when I thought of Bombay Local where food lovers can get a variety of fresh, local, homemade products.”
Bread enthusiasts can try what’s on offer by The Baker’s Dozen and Banana Bread by Lisa. For some delicious desserts, dips and dressings, try Yellow Butterfly by Shivani Tolia. Get your caffeine kick with Coffee Nazi and a variety of teas by Tea Trunk. Knead with Love offers a variety of sugary goodies such as
cookies, profiteroles, tarts, mini cheesecakes and savouries. If a new brand of sparkling juices is what you were wishing for, try the canned delights by Good Juicery.
Other participants at Bombay Local are Life Ki Recipe (do try their Bacon Jam), Neeru’s Desserts, Pantry, Tata Tea, Jar Designs and Prop Shop 24.Lacewalla next has plans for an organic pop-up exhibition.
