India registered a remarkable come-from-behind 3-2 victory against Canada in a Pool C clash to kitty their first three points of the FIH Junior World Cup at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium here on Saturday.
Hurt from their 4-7 defeat to South Korea on Friday, the North Americans struck in the third minute with skipper Sukhi Panesar scoring after a Brenden Bissett shot was deflected by Indian goalkeeper Harjot Singh.

The ball went straight to Panesar, who tapped in. India got the equaliser off their third penalty corner (30th min) with Mandeep Singh making it 1-1.
In the second half, Gordon Johnston’s drag flick made it 2-1 for Canada (51st min). But six minutes later, skipper Manpreet Singh’s pass was deflected home by Akashdeep Singh for 2-2. Gurjinder Singh finally drag flicked home to make it 3-2 in the 68th minute.
To make it to the quarters, India must beat South Korea, who lost to the Netherlands 2-3 on Saturday.u00a0
