Vinit Indulkar, Mumbai Ranji Trophy cricketer, slammed an unbeaten 156 as DY Patil Sports Academy beat Shivaji Park Gymkhana on first innings lead in the Dr HD Kanga Cricket League 'A' Division yesterday.
Apart from Indulkar’s ton, important contributions from Yogesh Pawar (63) and Rakesh Prabhu (50 not out) helped DY Patil post 327. Dinar Gaonkar, who claimed 3-72, was the pick of the bowlers for SPG.
Fifer for Tambe
For SPG, Vaidik Murkar, grandson of Ramakant Achrekar, scored 47. He was well supported by Larson D’Costa (46). But Pravin Tambe, the star leg spinner for Rajasthan Royals in the last Champions League T20, was too hot to handle for the SPG boys as they were bowled out for 210.
Tambe claimed 5-63 while Kshemal Waingankar, who was ignored for Mumbai’s Ranji Trophy encounter against Vidarbha, claimed 3-57.
