Acclaimed director Majid Majidi to come to India in July to finalise the star cast of his next, which will apparently feature a few Bollywood A-listers

Internationally acclaimed director Majid Majidi was in Mumbai last month to begin research on his next and to meet the cast of Salam Mumbai, an Indo-Iranian production featuring Dia Mirza and Iranian actor Reza Golzar. Now, we have learnt that the Majidi will return to the city in July to finalise the cast of his upcoming film.

Says a source, “The project will feature a few big names of Bollywood. The director has always wanted to shoot in India since he feels that Iran and India have a lot in common. The project will go on floors soon.”
Another source confirms the news and says, “The film will be shot in different parts of India and Majidi’s team is already doing the recce. He will come back in July to take a final call on the cast and other aspects of the film. In all probability, the film will go on floors in October or November.”
It is also said that the film will be made in three languages- Hindi, English and Persian.
