If the reports coming from the Central Board of Secondary Education are to be believed, the board has started making extensive preparation for the declaration of keenly awaited IIT - JEE Main 2016 Result on 27 April 2016 at 4 PM. As announced earlier, CBSE would be declaring the JEE Main 2016 on April 27 and students will be able to check them by visiting the official website of the board www.cbse.nic.in, www.jeemain.nic.in. This year, a total of 12 lakh anxious candidates are awaiting the declaration of CBSE JEE Main 2016 Result. The Joint Entrance Examination is one of the most popular and competitive engineering entrance exams in India. The JEE Mains Result 2016 is used to shortlist candidates for admission to various Engineering colleges or institutes like IIITs, NITs, CFTIs, and etc. Considering the increased participation in this year’s JEE Main 2016, the challenge of bringing out the result on time was formidable. Like every year, the IIT - JEE Main 2016 Result will be declared in two phases. In the first phase, CBSE will declare JEE Main Score for all the registered candidates on 27 April 2016. Along with providing the JEE Main Score, the result would also state if the concerned candidate has qualified for the JEE Advanced 2016 test. JEE Advanced 2016 is the screening test for candidates, who are vying for a seat in the undergraduate engineering programme at any of the IITs. Overall 2 lakh candidates are likely to be shortlisted for the JEE Advanced 2016 on the basis of JEE Main 2016 score. JEE Advanced 2016 test is scheduled to take place on May 22.

The second phase of JEE Main 2016 Result would begin after the completion of JEE Advanced 2016 exam. In this phase, the CBSE board would be declaring the JEE Main 2016 Ranks for all the registered candidates. These ranks would be used by different engineering institutes to provide admission to candidates in B.Tech / B.E programmes. The IIT - JEE Main 2016 Result is determined by the board after taking into account JEE Main Score and qualifying board exam marks of the respective candidate in the ratio of 60:40, respectively. Top engineering colleges in India, which invite students for counselling sessions on the basis of their JEE Main 2016 All India Rank. In the final counselling process, candidates will be allotted engineering specialization / branch and campus concerned for the B.Tech programme.
