Khadki hospital doctor slapped

A 35-year-old man slapped a doctor at the Khadki Cantonment hospital. The incident occurred around 10:30 am yesterday. Based on the complaint filed by Dr Sanjay Balwant (49), a resident of Bapodi, an FIR was lodged against Bablu Gavli at the Khadki police station.

Officials said Bablu’s mother Rani was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday for blood disorder.

When Bablu, a resident of Khadki, witnessed that there was little improvement in his mother’s condition, he started arguing with the doctor and slapped him.

Investigating officer Datta Londe said, “The incident took place on Wednesday morning after Bablu discovered that his mother’s condition was critical, and the medical staff was reluctant in answering his questions.

He caught hold of Dr Balwant and started abusing him. He even held his collar. When Balwant tried to push him away, Bablu slapped him and fled. Following this, Gavlis family members shifted Rani to a private hospital. We are on the look out for Bablu.”
