Indian tennis ace Leander Paes is in the quarter-finals of both the men's and mixed doubles.

While the 42-year-old is partnering Poland’s Marcin Matkowski in the men's doubles, in mixed he has Martina Hingis besides him.

Having qualified for the last-eight stage of both events, Paes was happy. But the weather gods have rained on his happiness.

All action at the Roland Garros was for the second day running been called off due to rain. After Monday's washout, there was just two hours of play possible on Tuesday as well. So what was Paes to do. Especially with the possibility of him having to play both his quarters on the same day now to make up for lost time.

Well, the man with 17 Grand Slams decided to spend it with an old friend.

Paes caught up with tennis legend Martina Navratilova. Paes and Navratilova had paired up earlier and won two Grand Slam mixed doubles titles (2003 Australian Open and 2003 Wimbledon) and finished runners-up twice (2004 Australian Open and 2005 French Open).

Paes tweeted an image of the two together with the caption, "The BEST hug and conversation you can get especially on a rainy day!!!"

Sure brought a cheer on our face.
