Explore the trends in the country’s food scene with two two separate events — Food Bloggers Association of India (FBAI) Dialogues, and the Indian Food Bloggers Awards 2014 (#IFBA2014)
The Food Bloggers Association of India (FBAI) is hosting the Indian Food Bloggers Awards 2014 (#IFBA2014), recognising the best food bloggers in the country.
The event, scheduled to take place in the first week of November, will also feature a five-hour day session, FBAI Dialogues, which aims to bring together food bloggers, restaurateurs, chefs, experts and foodies, to engage one another on key trending topics that define the country’s food scene.
Topics include social media for blogging, food photography, and restaurants using social media amongst others. Speakers include Nikhil Chib, Rushina Munshaw Ghildiyal, Saransh Goila, chef Himanshu Taneja, Nikhila Palat, Kalyan Karmakar, Jérémie Horowitz and Varun Inamdar.
The Socially Appetising Dialogue session (12 pm to 1.15 pm) will focus on the growing influence of social media on the industry and readers, and the impact of social media on food journalism and the hotel and restaurant business.
The Casual Coffee Dialogue will look at how restaurateurs are pushing boundaries on dining concepts, whereas, the Third Dialogue will explore the growing prominence of the home food entrepreneur in the public dining scene.
The On-the-house Dialogue will introduce FBAI-Nuggets and a crash course on mobile food photography, which will offer tips on how to use a smartphone for appealing food photography. The FBAI-Nuggets will host talks and presentations by stakeholders in the food, beverage, hospitality and social media industry as they focus on the current trends.
