Opposition group leaders in the Maharashtra legislature on Thursday met in Mumbai to finalise their strategy in the House during the upcoming Budget session

Opposition group leaders in the Maharashtra legislature on Thursday met in Mumbai to finalise their strategy in the House during the upcoming Budget session. The leaders from the Congress, NCP, Samajwadi Party, CPI (M) participated in the meeting held in the Vidhan Bhavan office of the Leader of Opposition in Assembly Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil.

The deliberations pertained to issues to be raised like corruption, unemployment, agriculture crisis etc, in the Budget session, a senior Congress leader said.
"We discussed the issues to be prioritised during the month-long session beginning February 26. We will meet again on February 25," he said.

Samajwadi Party MLA Abu Asim Azmi, CPM legislator Jeeva Pandu Gavit, JD (U) legislator Kapil Patil, NCP Group Leader Jayant Patil, Sunil Tatkare, Congress legislators Bhai Jagtap and Sanjay Dutt, PWP leader Ganpatrao Deshmukh were prominent among those who attended the meeting.
