Nagpur's Malvika Bansod, ranked no 2 in the country in her age group, sizzled as she toppled top seeded Kalpita Sawant of Mumbai 10-21, 21-18, 21-16 in a nailing-biting U-17 final of the PNB Metlife West Zone junior badminton championships held at Goregaon Sports Club on Saturday

However, Malvika had to struggle before she beat Aarya Deshpande from Satara 18-21, 21-18, 22-20 in the girls U-15 final.

In the boys' U-17 singles final, top seed Deep Rambhia proved too good for Digvijaysinh Kushwaha to clinch the tie 21-13, 21-15.
