Young Indian paddler Manika Batra beat higher-ranked Yui Hamamoto of Japan to enter the girls' singles semi-finals at the IITF Polish Junior Open in Wladyslawowo, Poland yesterday.
Eighteen-year-old Batra, who won a bronze at the Commonwealth Championships here earlier in the month, chalked out a 9-11, 11-9, 11-7, 10-12, 11-3, 12-10 win over the third seed in the quarter-finals.
