Bad News spells Good News for Fans
WWE superstar Bad News Barrett to be in city

Bad news is now great news for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) fans. The League’s Bad News Barrett is soon coming to India, in fact, mid-September to be precise. The superstar will be in Bangalore on September 16 and then in Mumbai from September 17 to 19.

We hear Bad News will be striding through a couple of malls as part of the promotional activities and is all set to attend a private party at a popular venue. One thing is certain; the WWE big draw will have no trouble picking up hordes of shopping bags as he moves through those malls.

Bad News is known for his record of holding the WWE Intercontinental Championship four times. So, as the clock ticks down to Bad News Barrett entering the city, his name may be Bad News but there’s Good News for WWE fans in the coming days. Acche Din in the true sense, we say.

Timeless in Hanging Gardens
At Mumbai’s iconic Hanging Gardens, Malabar Hill the clocks that were installed by then Mayor Shubha Raul seem to be showing their own time, now.

The friendship pillar that stands in Pherozeshah Mehta Gardens has clocks that face all four directions, but the time is different on all four faces. When this diarist was at the garden yesterday, the gardener told us, “It has been six months since the clocks stopped working. It is 12 noon now, but the clocks say it is 12:45, 1:00, 1:15 and 2:00 respectively.

The big clocks near the gates work, but these despite complaints to the garden authority have still not been maintained.” Well, they say time never stops, but on these clocks the unstoppable seems to have finally stopped.
