MDFA: Tariq ’tricks for Central Bank
Striker Tariq Ansari notched up a fine hat-trick as Central Bank of India scored an emphatic 8-0 victory over Income Tax in a Super Division match of the Mumbai District Football Association League at the Poinsur Gymkhana in Kandivli yesterday. Shashank Rao, Hitesh Chaodankar, Obaid Ansari, Russel Galbano and Raj Goel, all chipped in with a goal each for CBI.

Paul leads UKC to rink football title
Uncle’s Kitchen Football Club (UKC) were the deserving winners of the Mahindra Nagar Sports Club-organised instant football tournament at Malad
recently.


UKC overcame a spirited challenge from hosts Mahindra Nagar Sports Club to emerge 2-0 victors. Skipper Cletus Paul scored both goals for UKC in the final, besides contributing a crucial goal in the semi-final against Tiger Sports Club. Paul was also adjudged Player of the Tournament.

Rush Soccer: Neel shines with brace
Neel Busa scored twice as Team Blue beat Team Sky Blue 4-2 in a second round clash of the boys U-14, NEUMAC-Mumbai Rush Soccer Champions League at the St Andrew’s ground, Bandra yesterday. The six-weekend league has 48 teams in action.

Dhruv Agrawal and Aditya Nanda scored a goal each to complete the tally for Team Blue, while Sahil Jaddar scored a brace for Team Sky Blue.
In a boys U-18 second round match, Team Green romped home to a 3-0 win over Team Black.

MHAL: CR beat MS Police 3-2
Central Railway overcame a spirited Maharashtra State Police 3-2 in a Mumbai Hockey Association Super League encounter at the MHA-Mahindra Stadium in Churchgate yesterday.

MS Police got the opener thanks to an own-goal.

However, Central Railway then applied the pressure and scored through Rajendra Yadav, Navad Bahadur and Devendra Walmiki. Ronak Jagtap thereafter reduced the margin for state’s policemen in the second half.u00a0
