The police suspect the involvement of a family member as none of her valuables were found missing. Mansoori had a love marriage two months ago and according to the police, both the families were happy with the alliance.

According to police officials, an unknown person entered Mansoori’s residence at around 2 pm on Saturday and slashed her neck, killing her in the process.

At 2.30 pm, Mansoori’s husband, Ashfak, returned home for lunch and found the door locked from outside. When Ashfak opened the door, he found his wife lying in a pool of blood.

Senior Inspector SD Wadake of Goregaon police station said, “The accused did not steal any valuables from the house, so we think an insider is involved in the murder.”
