Dear Diana, I'm 25 and got married eight months ago. My guy seemed like a nice person in the initial days of our marriage but since the past month he has taken to drinking and comes home sloshed every day.
I cringe everyday seeing him in this condition. He wakes up, goes to work, comes home drunk. That’s the everyday routine now. I have asked him what is troubling him, but he has told me to shut up.What should I do?

Dear Hrutika,
It is clear that he is facing issues or has been keeping company of people who end the day over endless pegs of alcoholic drinks. At the same time, it is strange that he is not telling you what his problem is. Drinking has become a daily habit for him and it will play havoc with his health. He certainly needs counselling and help. Try and find out from his colleagues, who you are familiar with what is irking him that he has taken recourse to drinking. Be patient because he is not in the right frame of mind to realise what he is up to. Also seek a family member’s help.
