Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor's love life has always given enough fodder to the gossip mills. His photo with Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, where the two are seen smoking, had gone viral and sparked dating rumours. In September, Ranbir Kapoor and Mahira Khan were spotted together in New York and the photos of the two surfaced on social media. Soon after the photographs went viral, many started slamming Mahira for smoking and wearing a short dress. Popular Pakistani actors like Ali Zafar, Humaima Malick, Mawra and Urwa Hocane lent support to Mahira Khan.
Ranbir Kapoor, too, issued a statement following the furore over the pictures. He said, "I've gotten to know Mahira in a personal capacity over the last few months. She is somebody who I admire and respect, for her achievements and even more for the person she is. It is very unfair the way she is being judged and spoken about. What is also sad is the inequality in judgment just because she is a woman. I request you to stop the negativity and move on with your beautiful god gifted lives. Peace and love."
On the Bollywood front, Ranbir Kapoor will next be seen in Sanjay Dutt biopic. He also has a film titled 'Brahmastra' with Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan.
